Emergency Plan Activated

WWYD Wednesday
You are at work, your child is at school, and another family member is across town. A severe storm knocks out power, closes roads, and disrupts cell service. Calls fail and texts are delayed.
Who contacts whom? Where will you meet? What is the backup if that location is unsafe or your usual route is closed?
Fact Check Friday
“We’ll just call each other” is not enough when networks are congested or disrupted.
Build a family communication plan with two meeting places, one trusted out-of-area contact, texting when calls cannot connect, and written copies everyone can access. Practice the plan before an emergency separates you.
Preparedness starts before separation.
